I am Dr Helen Mander, a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with adults in the NHS. I gained a first class honours degree in Psychology at the University of Southampton, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Psychiatry (Kings College, London). Since qualifying I have gained further training specialising in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) as well as specialist training in Supervision skills.
I have worked in specialist services throughout the country including Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma (Maudsley Hospital) and National Affective Disorders Unit (Bethlem Royal Hospital).
I am a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and my practise adheres to the standards regulated by these organisations. I live in the New Forest and love spending time outside, and enjoying our beautiful countryside.
